Have you ever had one of those days when every thing you touch turns to custard and you feel like you should never have got out of bed. I am having one of those days. It is just as well the layout that I was working on was about 90% finished but I did plan on doing another layout this weekend but I don't think I am even going to attempt it. This Layout is for a design team call over at http://www.letsgetsketchy. You know I love that website and each week end it is one of the first challenges that I attempt. I may have to break my tradition this weekend though and not take part in the sketch although it is an amazing one. Anyway enough feeling sorry for myself this is the design call sketch
and this is what I have come up with

Always wanted to....
I always wanted to work with preschool children. I could not imagine doing anything else. It is amazing to think that I can make a difference in the life of a child. I enjoy watching them learn grow and develop and I feel pretty lucky to be part of their journey. This is what the journalling says for this layout. the challenge was to scrap a layout with the starting point when I grow up. this is what my layout looks like
this is the web site that I am linking to http://challengemehappy.wordpress. I like the cool chip board banner and the white card has a cool grain effect to it which is hard to see in the photo. Thanks for looking have a nice week Kirsty
snow on the peak
2011 was the first time ever that Te Mata peak had snow on it and James took some photos of it. I wondered how I was ever going to scrap book them and then I discovered this sketch and so the challenge was to do just that scrap them. I am pretty pleased with how they turned out. I am sure that we all have difficult photos in our collections that need to tell a story. This is another sketch from www.letsgetsketchy. this is the sketch and this is what I have done with it
I dont think that the girls made the finals with their netball so that means my Saturdays are back and hopefully I will have more time to do the things I want mainly scrapping so you may see more layouts soon.

quite the norm
this is this weeks contribution to letsgetsketchy.. This week the sketch looked like this
and this is what I have done with it
and this is what I have done with it
it is quite the norm for the girls to go to Nan and pops and pat the horses. Most young children would give their eye teeth to get up close to a horse but this is quite the norm in our lives. It is just as well these horses are quite placid even through they are perspective race horses. Any way thanks for looking and have a fun week catch up with you next time.

keep your balance
challengemehappy Recipe challenge is
one or more stamps
two photos
ribbon or twine or both
two or more paper clips
no cardstock
three patterened papers or more
Mist/paint/ink & border punches are freebies as always!
I dont usually enjoy recipe challenges but this one seemed to come together alright. It is also quite a change to scrap a picture of James so that is another tick for this week there must be someone in every bodies family that doesn't get many layouts done on them. Here is what I did

Lazy sunday
only one layout this weekend decided to have a lazy Sunday myself. The challenge at http://www.letsgetsketchy.blogspot.co.nz/ is to use white with a splash of colour. Am quite impressed with this layout My new big shot got a big workout. Tried something new with the three d letter effect title and think that it turned out pretty cool.
