dogs cats and other creatures

craftchallenge is a new website that I have come across while surfing the net their challenge this week was to make a card with dogs cats or creatures in mind and I came up with this cute creation

if I was to critically analysis this card I would use a smaller image although I do think this card is still very very cute and I got to use some of my old stock  and I discovered embellishments that I had forgotten about. I am enjoying getting back into my crafting and having some creative time .

you light up my life

long time no see. I have the week off and have decided to make a card each day to use up my stock and to get myself back into the crafty world the challenge this week at http://southerngirlschallenge was sing sing a song there were so many ideas that I came up with and I was going to make a selection and then chosse the best but the first one that I made I thought was just too cute not to share so I guess I will just have to find another challenge to keep me happy. Anyway this is the card that I made

retro birthday

wow I have not blogged for a long time in fact I have not been creative for a long time. After I figured out how to get back on to blogger I was starting to wonder if it was worth it. Have had a few life changing experiences since I last blogged and that is probably why, now that I have resettled myself and moving forward I feel like I am ready to start creating and sharing again. anyway lets see if I can still do the linking thing daring cardmakers http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.co.nz/ are celebrating their seventh birthday and they have this picture as their inspiration

the next part of the challenge was to make a christmas card based on a similar design since I was on a roll I made the following card

I am not happy that it does not reflect the first card or the inspirational picture but it is still a card and I am happy to cross another christmas card off my list thanks for looking did you miss me? 

keep calm and carry on

don't know where my enthusiasm for my scrapping has gone but I am still getting down to my craft room and producing cards which use up some of my scraps so it isn't all doom and gloom. here is what I did this week

choc card

I don't know why but I had lost the urge to scrapbook lately. So I thought that I might give it the weekend off I have been scrapping at least one layout every week and so I was going to re evaluate after the weekend     anyway by four o'clock Sunday I unpacked my latest scrapping kit and I was starting to worry about what i am going to do with my excess papers and lovely goodies so I decided to see if I could calm my addiction by making a card. I did a quick search and came across challenge site that suited another addition, chocolate this is what I created

daffodil farm

Just realised I didn't put a title on this layout (does it really matter) one thing that I have learnt from scrapping is that there is no right or wrong just as long as you are happy with it and I am so I am going to leave this layout title-less. Just one share this week as I have had the priverlidge to be a guest desinger for a website but will leave the details out until it goes live. this is the first time I have done any team work for a site and I am hoping everything goes well. but onto the things that I can share I am linking to this website this weekend http://letsgetsketchy. surprise surprise if I can only do one layout this is my go to site

I dont often work with these colours and I am pretty pleased with how it looks may consider using these colours in the future.
